Spanish Zoom Tasting , Friday 10th November £45 per group
I was fortunate to visit Perelada in spring for a tasting.
I was convinced then that their wines would make a fantastic selection for a zoom tasting; A range of great wines which are not the usual suspects, a truly fascinating winery history and a very charming speaker in their senior export manager Patrice Lesclaux.
I also believe that the best time for zoom tastings is when it is cold outside. You can stay indoors with a few friends sharing your three bottles of wine and have a fun and informative evening. So, unlike the Pitch & Pour events I am hoping for a cold rainy day for this one.
The ticket price is £45 which includes 3 bottles of wine with a retail value of £50 delivered to your door. And a zoom tasting where you can learn all about the wines you are drinking. I will also send out some food suggestions for the evening to pair with the wines. Spoiler alert! It will be Spanish.
To keep things fun the number of screens is limited to 20 but you can share with friends and I have found that the best number is four.
The Winery
Perelada are one of the most prestigious and highly regarded wine and cava producers from Catalonia.
DO Empordà wines This family-owned Estate was built upon a winemaking tradition that stretches back to the Middle Ages, they produce wines in DO Empordà, which through their hard work and skill they helped create in the 1960s.
